Unboxing Experience

The first thing that caught my attention was the rugged design of the light. Constructed with high-quality materials, the housing feels sturdy and capable of withstanding harsh environments. The light itself is thick, measuring in at roughly 3 inches, this is something that you may want to keep in mind as far as placement goes, luckily the light did fit on my front bumper bar from Rally Innovations. The Lights are also powered coated to give even more protection against the weather.

LED Driving Lights Installation Tips

The lights come with the mounting bracket disabled but I didn’t find it too difficult to piece it together by myself.

However, it's important to note that the package doesn't include the harness, which you'll need to purchase separately from their website and that will make wiring much easier.

Of course, you can also assemble it using the DT connector that comes in the package and a spare harness you already have. To help with the process, I have provided a wiring diagram for reference.

During the installation process, I had the help of my friend Tristan (aka @advntr.ram on Instagram). Unfortunately, we didn't record the installation video, but we'd love to share our experience and advice here. If you're new to installing lights, we highly recommend watching online videos to familiarize yourself or consider getting assistance from a friend or a professional.

Easy Installation Process for LED Driving Lights

Installing Off-Road Light is a hassle-free process, my friend Tristan installed the lights as well as a switch panel, and here are the installation steps shared by @advntr.ram

    Installation Steps

    • Step 1 Determine the mounting location

First you want to find where you are going to place the light, whether you have an aftermarket offroad bumper, bumper guard with light bar mounts or none. It would increase or decrease the ease of installation, drilling may or may not be necessary.

    • Step 2 Check for mounting points

If you have an off-road bumper, checking the accessory light mounting points and checking that these are drilled or have pre-drilled holes can cut down on your hassle. For example, on Robert's vehicle, he had the Rally innovations Ultimate Light bar, which has 4 accessory light mounting points that make it easy to attach lights.

    • Step 3 Adjust the lighting angle

Once the lights are mounted, you can use a screwdriver to adjust the lights to get the lighting angle you want.

    Installation Suggestions and Tips

To ensure a successful installation, Tristan also summarized the following installation recommendations for us

    • Proper tools
    • Rresearch on low voltage electrical
    • Proper installation habits
    • Coverage of wires
    • Proper water sealing
    • Red goes to Red and black to black

What is the most difficult part of the installation?

The installation was easy for someone with experience, where to run cables, what to hook up, and where to hook things up, if you are uncomfortable with electrical I would highly recommend someone who knows that sort of job complete that portion. The installation of the lights on where ever it would be mounted could be done by anyone.

The most difficult part of the installation would be whether the person would want the back light function to be on with ignition or not, if so the cutting of the wiring harness would be necessary and the locating of a proper ignition fuse, if not, then a switch system with a proper dual switch would suffice.

    Road Testing

Once the installation was complete, I couldn't wait to take these lights for a spin on nearby Canyon Road. I must say, the quality of these lights is impressive, and I'll definitely keep an eye on their durability and water resistance in the long run.

    Performance and Brightness

One of the standout features of these off-road lights is their exceptional brightness. With 18 high-output 5w LEDs, the AUXITO LED lights provide an impressive 12,000 lumens of bright white light at 6000K. And let's not forget the stylish touch added by the 2 pieces of 3500K amber LED DRLs. The wide beam pattern and excellent distance coverage significantly improved my visibility, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable off-road experience.

The spot and flood beams are undeniably bright and emit a cool white light which is the same color as the LED headlight bulbs I purchased. I'm eager to hit the trail and experience the even brighter light output firsthand!

    Output - 3500K Amber DRL

The amber DRL perfectly matches my Crosstrek's side marker light. When using only the DRLs with the Pod light, the front end of my vehicle is clearly visible from a great distance. It's a reassuring feeling to know that others can spot me easily.

Although the beam pattern is more focused on the spot, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fog light they emit. When combined with my existing fog lights that also feature AUXITO LED's H11 bulbs, the amount of light they produce is truly impressive!

    Durability and Weather Resistance

Off-road adventures often subject vehicles and their accessories to extreme conditions. AUXITO LED's 7-inch Off-Road Light exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and weather resistance. The lights are IP68-rated, meaning they are both dustproof and capable of withstanding temporary immersion in water up to one meter for more than 30 minutes. Although I could not really test the waterproof aspect of these lights being I live in sunny California, however, I can attest to their dustproof capabilities as I drove up my local trails.
